Simone Mencaccini is the new athletic trainer of Omag-Mt.

A native of Fossombrone, he brings with him over 30 years of experience in the world of volleyball, both men’s and women’s, in Italy and abroad.
A former player in A2, he began his coaching career in Loreto, where he won promotion to A1. He worked in A1 women’s in Urbino, winning the CEV Cup, and coached prestigious clubs such as Chieri, Eczacibaşi Istanbul (Champions League Final Four), Chemik Police in Poland (scudetto and cup), MyCicero Pesaro (promotion to A1), Club Italia and Igor Gorgonzola Novara. He has also collaborated with the German women’s national team. In the last two years he has been the federal trainer responsible for the women’s youth national teams, and this summer he will be the physical trainer of the men’s pre-junior national team.
With great experience and reliability, Mencaccini is ready to contribute to the path of Omag-Mt.
And Mencaccini comments enthusiastically:
“I am honored and excited to be part of the project of the San Giovanni in Marignano company, which I know well from a previous collaboration dating back to 2017-2018, the year of the Coppa Italia and the playoff final that I remember with pleasure.
Starting this new cycle represents for me the opportunity to get back into the game with my experience in an environment that welcomes me again with confidence and ambition.
It will be a demanding year, where every detail can make the difference. This is precisely what motivates me: difficult challenges are those that bring out the best in each of us.
I have great faith in the work group that is forming and in the potential of our players.
I am very motivated to bring all my experience to obtain the best possible results.”
